Guidance at the Faculty of Economics

Are you choosing your university path? The guidance service of the Faculty of Economics at Sapienza helps you explore our academic offer, understand the differences between our degree programmes and assess your interests, aptitudes and career prospects, so that you can make an informed choice.

Our activities are designed above all for secondary-school pupils, but also for anyone who wishes to learn more about the Faculty's offer or to continue their studies with a Master's degree after their Bachelor's.

Guidance events and initiatives

Throughout the year, the Faculty organises meetings and experiences to help you get to know the University and choose your path. Our main initiatives include:

  • A Day as a Fresher — experience university life first-hand and discover the everyday life of an Economics student.
  • Open Days for Bachelor's and Master's programmes — presentations of our academic offer, the content of each programme, admission requirements and career prospects.
  • Guided tours of the Faculty — explore the spaces, facilities and services of the Economics Campus.
  • Meetings with schools — guidance activities held at the Faculty or at schools themselves, presenting our programmes, services and opportunities and offering the chance to talk with lecturers and students.

Events take place in person, online or in blended mode, including in partnership with schools.

Guidance in schools and work-based learning (PCTO)

The Faculty works with secondary schools through guidance activities and school-to-work learning pathways (PCTO — Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation, formerly School-Work Alternation). These pathways allow pupils to engage with university disciplines, try out academic activities and develop a clearer awareness of their own aptitudes.

Preparing for the entry test (TOLC-E)

Have you already identified the programme you are interested in? Admission to Bachelor's degree programmes requires the TOLC-E, an online, non-selective entry test: it assesses your initial preparation, but you may enrol even if you do not pass it on your first attempt.

To help you arrive well prepared, the Faculty organises entry-test simulations and test sessions in the Campus computer labs.
