Department of Economics and Law 

The Department of Economics and Law was founded in 2010 as a result of the aggregation of the Department of Public Economics and the Department of Economics Law. Both these Department were, in turn, the outgrowth of successive evolutions that started with the Faculty of Economics, which is more than one hundred years old. The main objective of the Department of Economics and Law is to enhance - through research activity, graduate and undergraduate courses - the integration between economics and law which is today necessary in order to understand major problems and suggest solutions to them. Specific research themes of the Department are: the design of effective regulation mechanisms; the relationship between rules and incentives both in the market and within organizations; the evolution of the public sector and its multilayered structure; the relationship between public and private sectors in view of enhancing equity and efficiency.

Department of Law and Economics of productive activities

The department of Law and economics of productive activities was born in may 2008, through the merger of the existing department of Private and community law and department of Business administration, is on the second and third floor of the faculty of Economics.
On the second floor are the offices of the professors of the legal area, the library, the secretary's office, the administration office, the classroom "Salvatore Pescatore" and room "Umberto Navarrini".
On the third floor there are the offices of the professors of business administration and tax law area, the computer lab and the conference room "Pietro Onida".

Department of Management 

The Department of Management of Sapienza, University of Rome is involved in teaching, scientific research, applied research and post-graduate/executive formation, in a variety of business-related disciplines. Our specific engagement is directed to the following fields:
Business Management;
Banking & Finance;
Commodity Sciences.
The primary aim of the Department of Management is to foster and share innovative knowledge in terms of management, finance and technology culture, for the promotion of social and economic progress.
Maintaining the engagement with its institutional objectives, the Department endorses a continuous debate with the academic community, both national and international, and develops strong links with the productive world as well as the institutions, in order to operate in full accord with their necessities, evaluating the professors' competences and the young talents' potential.

Department of Methods and Models for Economics, Territory and Finance

The Department of Methods and Models for Economics, Territory and Finance has as its mission the creation of an advanced scientific research context, both nationally and internationally, based on the integration of methods, tools and approaches aimed at multidisciplinary conceptual description and the analysis of economic phenomena, land management and to support decisions in the financial sector. It promotes and coordinates research activities on the following topics: probability theory and statistical modelling; mathematical models, statistical and computational economics, finance and insurance; methods for social research, population and policy analysis; methods for linguistic research, languages ​​and foreign cultures; economic and spatial analysis; economic history and regional studies. There are two courses pertaining to the Department of Science: "Finance and Insurance" and "Tourism and management of environmental resources" and is home to the PhD in Methods and Models for 'Economics and Finance. The Department conducts extra-university training activities and cooperates with several public and private institutions.
