STUDY PLAN FOR Academic Year 2025/2026
Students enrolled in the degree programmes of the Faculty of Economics may submit their study plan for the academic year 2025/2026, either as a new submission or as an amendment to a study plan submitted in previous years, from 13 October 2025 to 15 February 2026.
In addition, from 1 March 2026 to 31 July 2026, it will be possible to amend a study plan that has already been submitted and approved.
Students who did not submit a study plan during the 13 October 2025 – 15 February 2026 window, and who therefore either have no study plan or only have a study plan relating to previous academic years, may submit a new study plan independently through Infostud.
Students who submitted their study plan during the 13 October 2025 – 15 February 2026 period, that is, those who submitted it for the first time during that window or resubmitted it for the academic year 2025/2026 in place of a previous one, and who wish to make changes during the 1 March 2026 – 31 July 2026 period, must send a request to:
segreteriadidatticaeconomia@uniroma1.it
requesting the cancellation of the previously submitted study plan.
The email must be sent from the student’s institutional email address and must have the subject line:
“Study Plan Cancellation” (“Annullamento Percorso Formativo”)
The study plan may be completed only once in each submission window.
Once the study plan has been submitted and approved, it will no longer be possible to amend it for the current academic year, in accordance with the previous instructions.
If a study plan has been approved by the relevant academic department, the student will be able to register for all the exams included in that study plan, provided that they have not already been taken and that they comply with the academic requirements and constraints, such as year of enrolment and prerequisites.
Students are strongly advised to pay close attention to the consequences of changing their study plan, especially with regard to the possibility of taking the exams associated with the courses being changed.
If a student changes a course in academic year X, they will be able to take the exam for that course only after the course has been fully delivered in academic year X.
As a result:
- in the case of a first-semester course, the student will be able to take the relevant exam starting from the January and February exam sessions;
- in the case of a second-semester course, the student will not be able to take the relevant exam during the January and February exam sessions but only starting from the June/July session.
Student elective courses
A) The generic entry “Attività a scelta dello studente” (Student elective activities) cannot be included in the study plan, even if it appears among the available options. Students must instead enter the exact courses they intend to take as electives.
B) Students may select elective courses from the same curriculum or degree programme that are not already included because they are optional. Alternatively, using the advanced search function, they may select any course offered in another degree programme within the Faculty, which is the recommended option, or in any other degree programme within the University, by entering the exact title of the course or by searching using keywords.
Students enrolled in Bachelor’s degree programmes may include only courses from Bachelor’s degree programmes. Students enrolled in Master’s degree programmes may include only courses offered within Master’s degree programmes.
Please note: if students decide to include exams offered by other departments or Faculties in their study plan, they must complete the section “Motivazioni delle scelte e ulteriori note esplicative” (Reasons for your choices and additional explanatory notes), indicating the reasons for their choice and whether the choice has already been approved by the degree programme.
Students are strongly advised to pay the utmost attention to the course code and the degree programme code, and to check with the department offering the selected course in order to ensure that they have identified the exact code for the course delivered in the current academic year.
In the event of incorrect grade registration, missing exam sessions, or any other issue relating to exams offered by other Faculties, students must contact the relevant Faculty Office of the Faculty delivering the course.
C) If a student is required to complete a total of 9 ECTS credits as electives, they may choose either:
- one single course worth 9 ECTS credits, or
- one course worth 6 ECTS credits and one worth 3 ECTS credits.
Students may also choose exams whose total number of credits exceeds the number of elective credits required by their degree regulations by no more than 3 ECTS credits. Therefore:
- if the degree regulations require 9 elective ECTS credits, students may include up to 12 ECTS credits;
- if the degree regulations require 6 elective ECTS credits, students may include up to 9 ECTS credits.
D) Students may not include as an elective any exam that has the same title as an exam already taken, or any exam already included in their Bachelor’s or Master’s study plan, even if it carries a different number of ECTS credits.
It is also not possible to include exams that have different titles but are, in practice, equivalent to, shared-delivery versions of, or otherwise based on exams already included, and/or courses that cover the same syllabus or have overlapping syllabus content.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in the exam being cancelled by the Student Office during the final degree record check before graduation, even if the unauthorised exams have already been taken and officially recorded.
E) For degree programmes, or curricula, delivered entirely in English, students may choose a course taught in Italian, although it is preferable and strongly recommended to choose courses taught in English.
If a corresponding course taught in English is available within the Faculty’s educational offer, the relevant academic structure will notify the student so that the study plan can be amended accordingly.
Likewise, it is possible to include, as a student elective, a module taught in English within a degree programme delivered in Italian.
Instructions for completing the study plan
To complete the study plan, please follow the instructions provided in the following:
MANUAL
At the end of the process, the system will indicate whether the study plan is correct. If it is not, students may use the “ABC” function at the top left of the screen to check the issues identified by the system.
If the proposed study plan is correct, it may be saved as “Bozza” (“Draft”). Once the student has selected the preferred study plan from those saved as drafts, it may be submitted to the academic structure for evaluation.
To do so, students must click the following buttons:
“Invia” → “Richiedi approvazione del piano di studi” → “Conferma invio”
“Submit” → “Request approval of the study plan” → “Confirm submission”
Please make sure that all steps are completed. Otherwise, the study plan will remain in draft form and will not reach the Academic Office for approval.
Once the study plan has been approved, approximately 24 to 48 hours are required for the Gomp and Infostud platforms to synchronise and allow the student to view on Infostud the information relating to the courses included in the new study plan, as well as exam dates and exam bookings.
Please note that approval of the study plan is not automatic but depends on an assessment by the relevant academic department.
For this reason, students are advised to plan any changes well in advance, taking exam booking deadlines into account, and not to send urgent requests for approval close to those deadlines, since it will not be materially possible to accommodate such requests, also in view of the technical synchronisation times referred to above.

Instructions for completion
Study plan manual
Students who submitted their study plan between October 15, 2024 and February 15, 2025 and wish to make changes between March 1 and July 31, 2025 must send a request to the following address:
segreteriadidatticaeconomia@uniroma1.it
requesting the cancellation of the previously submitted study plan.
The email must be sent from the student’s institutional email account and must include the subject:
"Annullamento Percorso Formativo" (Cancellation of Study Plan).
Students enrolled in degree programmes of the Faculty of Economics may submit their study plan for the academic year 2024/2025 from October 15, 2024 to February 15, 2025.
Students who have already submitted and received approval for a study plan (either in previous years or for the 2024/2025 academic year) and wish to make changes, may do so by submitting a new plan during the window March 1 to July 31, 2025.
Study plans may only be submitted once per window.
Once the study plan has been submitted and approved, as per previous instructions, no further changes will be accepted for the current academic year.
If a study plan has been approved by the relevant academic office, the student will be able to register for all exams included in the plan, as long as they have not yet been taken and are compatible with academic constraints (year of enrollment, prerequisites, etc.).
Students are strongly advised to consider carefully the consequences of changing their study plan, especially regarding the eligibility to sit for exams of courses affected by such changes.
If a student changes a course during academic year X, they may only sit for that course’s exam after it has been fully delivered in year X.
As a result:
• For first-semester courses, students may sit for exams starting from the January/February sessions.
• For second-semester courses, students may sit for exams only from the June/July session onwards, and not during the January/February session.
ELECTIVE COURSES
A) The generic entry “Elective activity” cannot be included in the study plan, even if listed among the options. Students must instead select the specific courses they intend to take as electives.
B) Students may choose courses from their own curriculum or degree programme (if not already included), or, using the “advanced search” function, select from courses offered in other programmes within the Faculty (recommended) or the University.
They must type the exact course name or use keywords.
Bachelor’s students may only choose courses offered in bachelor's programmes; Master’s students may only choose courses from master’s programmes.
Note: If you wish to include elective courses from other Faculties or Departments, you must fill in the “Motivations and additional notes” section of the study plan, explaining your choice and stating whether it has already been approved by your degree programme.
Make sure to verify the correct course code and programme code by contacting the department offering the course.
In the event of issues with exam registration, missing sessions, or other administrative problems with courses from other Faculties, the responsible Faculty’s Student Office must be contacted.
C) If your elective credit total is 9 ECTS, you may select:
– one 9-credit course; or
– one 6-credit course and one 3-credit course.
It is also possible to exceed the elective credit requirement by up to 3 ECTS.
For example, if your programme allows for 9 elective credits, you may include up to 12 ECTS in your plan; if it allows for 6, you may include up to 9.
D) It is not permitted to include as an elective:
– a course with the same title as one already taken or listed in your current or previous programme (even if the number of credits differs);
– a course with a different title but which is in fact a duplicate or version of a course already taken (i.e., same content, same programme, or shared modules).
Failure to comply with these rules will result in the cancellation of the exam by the Student Office during the final graduation review, even if the exam has already been taken and recorded.
E) Students enrolled in degree programmes or curricula entirely taught in English may choose a course taught in Italian as an elective. However, it is preferable and recommended to select electives taught in English.
If an equivalent course is offered in English by the Faculty, the relevant academic office may ask the student to modify the study plan accordingly.
Similarly, students enrolled in Italian-taught programmes may include an elective course taught in English.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE STUDY PLAN
Follow the instructions in the user Manual to complete the study plan.
MANUAL
Once the study plan is completed, the system will indicate whether it is valid.
If not, you can use the "ABC" function (top left of the screen) to identify and correct the issues.
If the plan is valid, it can be saved as a “Draft”.
When you have chosen the final version among your drafts, you may submit it for approval by clicking:
“Submit” → “Request study plan approval” → “Confirm submission”
Make sure you complete all steps, otherwise your study plan will remain in draft status and will not be forwarded to the Student Office for approval.
Once approved, it may take 24 to 48 hours for the GOMP and Infostud platforms to synchronise, after which students will be able to see exam dates and booking options for the newly selected courses in Infostud.
Please note: approval of the study plan is not automatic, but is subject to evaluation by the relevant academic office.
Therefore, students are advised to plan changes in advance and not to submit last-minute urgent requests, especially close to exam booking deadlines, as it will not be possible to process such requests due to technical timing constraints.
